Oreo Truffle Recipe ♡

Posted by Unknown at 9:20 PM
Hello beauties! Today I have a very yummy blog post to warm your pretty souls! I will be teaching you a very easy way to make oreo truffles!

Materials:
- spoons
- spatula
- gloves
- bowl
- cutting board
- knife
- food processor or rolling pin and zip lock bag
- microwave
- refrigerator
- serving platter

Ingredients:
- Oreos
- chocolate
- Philadelphia spreadable cheese

Lets hop right into it!

First what you have to do is, decide how many Oreo packets do you wanna use, and that of course depends on how man truffles you wanna make. I used 4 packets of Oreos and ended up with 25 truffles. But the amount of truffles also depends on the size you roll the circles, so it's really up to you!

Now that you decided how many Oreo's you want to use, you have to crush them. There are 2 ways which you can follow in order to crush your Oreos. I am using the easier method, which is using a food processor, but in case you don't have one, you can place the Oreos into a zip-lock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.

My Moulinex {illico} food processor
When you are done your product should look something like this, and have a powdery consistency. Also, make sure that there are no lumps or big uncrushed pieces of Oreo

Crushed Oreos
Once you have crushed the Oreos how you like them, add a couple of tablespoons of Philadelphia spreadable cheese into the crushed Oreos. You may use either the low fat or normal. I personally prefer to use the normal one.

Now that you added your spreadble cheese, mix it in with the crushed Oreos either using a spoon, a spatula or your hands (in gloves). I like to use my hands. Make sure that there are no traces of the spreadable cheese in your ready dough or mix. Also what I like to do is roll the whole mix into one big truffle ball before I seperate it into smaller ones, making it look like this

Make sure that the dough sticks all together and doesn't fall apart. Now get a cutting board and put a piece of parchment paper over it, in order to place your truffles on it.

Now, take small pieces of your dough and roll them into little balls, and then just place them all on to your cutting board. Once you run out of dough place your truffles in the fridge for a couple of minutes in order for them to set while you melt the chocolate

You would think that melting the chocolate will be easy. Yes, it will be easy but it will need some time. That is because we will be making, tempered chocolate which wont melt in room temperature when you serve your truffles. To make it you need to cut your chocolate into smaller pieces. In this case we will be using the Galaxy Chocolate Smooth Milk (3-4 small packets) but you can use any that you preffer.

Place the cut up chocolate into a bowl for melting, but keep a quarter of the chocolate on the cutting board for later. Melt the chocolate for 10 seconds and take it out of the microwave, then stir. Keep doing this every 10 seconds until the chocolate has fully melted. After that add the remaining cut up chocolate to the melted one and mix. After you mix it in, melt for another 10 seconds and mix to make sure there are no lumps and everything is fully melted, and the consistency is how you like it.

You can now take out your truffles from the fridge and top them with your melted chocolate! As simple as that. Also, at this stage while the chocolate is still not set you can add any other toppings that you would like to your truffles! Be creative

After topping your truffles with chocolate place them in the freezer for 4 or more hours until they're set, and then you can pop them out of the fridge place them on to a nice plate and eat them all up!!

Hope you enjoyed this blog and hope that it was helpful! Enjoy your truffles and be sure to send me a picture if you try them out! Have a great day/evening and don't forget to smile :)
