Overcoming Fears ♡

Hey everyone! How are y'all doing? Before I get into today's post I would like to sincerely apologize for being so inactive during January. As we all know school can be very over pressuring sometimes (or probably most of the time), and so it has really taken from my blogging time. However, I'll definitely try my best to be and stay as active as possible!

Today I decided to tackle the subject of overcoming your fears. I'm sure that we all have our own fear of something in particular whether it's heights, clowns or even maybe public speaking. For me personally, I am a super shy person and public speaking has always been quite hard even though I always genuinely enjoyed it throughout elementary and middle school. As I got into highschool however I got deeper into this fear, and shyness, and tried avoiding all possible stage or public speaking related events because of being too afraid. Honestly though, I didn't know the reason to my fear and I still honestly don't. But whatever the reason might be, and what your fear is, work on it. Don't just ignore it and live with it constantly bothering you. Try your best to really face it, and if you need to, ask for help. Whether it's help from your best friend, your family, or even a therapist if required!

At first, I myself tried to avoid anything, and everything related to public speaking and stages, but one day (which was actually a few days ago) we had an event which pretty much the whole high school attended, and at the end of it everyone was free to give a commentary if they wanted to. At first I was very hesitant about going up and saying what I wanted to say but then all of a sudden the reassurance and comfort from my friends, and the sudden encouragement I felt actually made me WANT to go up and say something. I went up confidently to say what I wanted to say, but soon enough fell into a devastation after that nerve racking opportunity has been literally taken away from me since "there was no more time". At first, I fell deeper into my fear and shyness, but I took a long thought about it, and about how I felt and it made me feel so encouraged, and like I could do anything now, ANYTHING. It was such a great and huge burst of encouragement and it will definitely help me the next time I do something related to this.

Now, the reason why I shared this little experience and the reason why I wrote this post is because it's okay to be afraid of something, and it's also okay, and very important to try and overcome, and face it. It's important for yourself, and you should never degrade that fact because you are important and the things you go through are important too. I want you all to know that whatever your fear might be you can overcome it, and every baby step counts in this journey. If you don't want to talk about it with people, then read about it, write about it, vent out to paper. And remember, as long as you have the determination and a positive mindset you'll be able to overcome anything!

Thank you for reading and I really hope this has helped you! Have a great day/night and don't forget to smile :)

P.S: If you ever need anything or have questions about anything I'm here for you, and if you have any specific post you would want me to do then feel free to contact me!
